Allergen Detector MCP: Privacy and Terms

Effective October 25, 2026. Allergen Detector is made by Safi.

What the service does

The Allergen Detector MCP server lets AI assistants and shopping agents check a product's ingredient list against the allergies a user shares with them. It returns which allergens it found, under which ingredient names, and why.

What we receive

An assistant sends us an ingredient list, the allergens to check for, and optionally a product name and a first name or label for each person ("me", "Dad"). We use this only to compute the answer to that request.

What we keep

Nothing from the request. We do not store or log ingredient lists, allergens, names, IP addresses or any other information about a person. The service has no accounts and sets no cookies.

We keep only anonymous counts: the date, the name the calling app gives for itself (for example "claude-ai"), and which tool it used. We use these counts to understand how much the service is used.

Our hosting provider processes standard network traffic to deliver the service, under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Request contents are discarded as soon as the answer is sent. The anonymous counts are kept for up to 12 months. Our hosting provider's logs, which contain those counts and standard connection data, are deleted on its own schedule, within 30 days.

Who receives data

Our hosting provider, Render, which runs the service for us, and our analytics provider, PostHog, which receives only the anonymous counts described above (the calling app's name and which tool it used). We share data with no one else.

Your choices

Because we keep nothing that identifies you, there is nothing to access or delete. You control what you share: an assistant only sends us what you ask it to check, and you can use first names or labels like "me" instead of real names.

What we never do

We never sell or share health information, and we never use it for advertising.

Not medical advice

Results are informational only and are not medical advice. They can be wrong or incomplete, and product formulas change. Always read the package label, and ask your doctor or allergist about your allergies. The service is provided as is, without warranties, and we are not liable for decisions made using its results.
